Karabo Meso, the 17-year-old wicket-keeper batter, will go to her first World Cup after being included in South Africa’s squad for the ODI tournament in India and Sri Lanka which starts later this month.She has just two ODI caps to her name and has played seven senior internationals in all, but has featured in two Under-19 World Cups and won the SA20 Schools title with Steyn City earlier this year. O treinador valorizou o resultado positivo após dois jogos difíceis, mas pondera que o time ainda não desempenhou o que se espera para a temporada. Para o português, a defesa foi pilar importante durante a partida.

 – A vitória é o que fica. Primeiro jogo em casa, uma vitória, em frente aos nossos torcedores. Muito satisfeito pelos três pontos, não tanto pelo que fizemos. Temos a sensação clara de que podemos e devemos fazer muito melhor. Fica o registro de uma vitória em que a equipe lutou muito. Foi competente defensivamente quando teve de sofrer e estar mais próxima da nossa baliza. Mas diferente para o que queremos para o Botafogo. Queremos uma equipe menos sofredora e mais dominadora. وقال أحمد شوبير في تصريحات إذاعية عبر “أون سبورت اف ام”: “تردد كلام عن وجود عرض من الإمارات وآخر من السعودية، وعروض لعدد كبير جداً من اللاعبين، وقد كثر الحديث عن مروان عطية، وذكر البعض أرقاماً، ولكن هذه كلها اجتهادات”.

وأكمل: “لا يوجد شيء مؤكد بخصوص مروان عطية، والنادي الأهلي حتى لو وُجدت عروض، لن يفرّط في مروان عطية”.

وواصل: “أما بالنسبة لأحمد عبد القادر، فالتفاوض مستمر معه، وفي النهاية، القول الذي سيصدر عن النادي الأهلي أو العرض الذي سيعرضه النادي الأهلي هو ما سيكون الأساس،  فإن كنت موافقاً على ذلك فأهلا وسهلا، وإن لم تكن موافقاً، فلن تكون هناك مشكلة للنادي الأهلي في مسألة أن يرحل أحمد عبد القادر ويرى مصلحته خارجياً”.

وزاد: “وليس في ذلك عيبًا لكي لا يبدأ الناس في الشتم والانتقاد، فـ أحمد عبد القادر هدفه الأساسي هو الرغبة في اللعب، وهل لديه فرصة جيدة للعب في النادي الأهلي؟ للأمانة، توروب منحه الكثير وتعامل معه بشكل جيد جداً، والمدرب السابق ريبيرو لم يكن يحبه ولم يكن يدربه مع الفريق”.

وأردف: “انتهت تلك الأيام ورحل المدرب السابق، وجاء مدرب آخر لديه قناعات، ولكن عبد القادر نفسه يجب أن يساعد نفسه، وسنرى ما إذا كان سيتوافق مع النادي الأهلي، أم يرحل، خاصة أن لديه حرية الانتقال لأي نادٍ أو التوقيع اعتباراً من يناير القادم”.

واستطرد: “الأهلي لا يواجه أي مشكلة على الإطلاق مع اللاعبين المصريين فيما يتعلق بملف التجديد، ولا توجد أي معوقات تذكر داخل النادي الأهلي بخصوص ها الأمر”.

وأكمل: “أولى البشائر في هذا الملف كانت بخصوص حسين الشحات، فقد اتفق مع إدارة النادي على التجديد لمدة موسمين، مع وجود وعد من الإدارة بتقديم التقدير المالي المناسب له، ولم يتبقَ سوى عقد جلسة رسمية للتوقيع على العقود الجديدة”.

Hope said he was sharing his knowledge with the rest of the group.”I am trying to share as much experience as I can,” Hope said. “When you play in foreign conditions, it’s very important as an experienced player or as a senior player in the team to share all the knowledge that you possibly can. In this situation, we all have a desire to do well for the West Indies, and it’s very important as a cricketer, especially as a batter, to come into these conditions and perform well.”So all the little learning that I would have gained from my previous trip – it’s about having those conversations with the remaining batters and trying to get the best out of each and every one of us.”At least West Indies have played in India recently. The home side, on the other hand, have a lot to worry about, especially with their batting line-up. وقال أحمد حسام ميدو في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة النهار: “تصريحات وزير الإسكان أمس تُلمّح بشكل واضح إلى ضياع أرض نادي الزمالك، ولو مجلس الإدارة جلس على الطاولة ووافق على سحب الأرض مقابل أرض بديلة، يبقى فرّط في حق الزمالك”.

وتابع: “لا يوجد زملكاوي واحد يمكن أن يقبل بهذا، وفي هذه المرحلة الحساسة يجب أن يكون للجمعية العمومية دور كبير، وأطالب بأن تكون جمعية الغد جمعية تاريخية، وأن يقول الأعضاء كلمتهم”.

وأردف: “أتمنى أن تتحول الجمعية العمومية إلى مظاهرة حب ودعم للزمالك وليس للإدارة، لأن النادي يمرّ بمأساة غير مسبوقة عبر تاريخه”.

وزاد: “استمعت لتصريحات وزير الشباب والرياضة ووزير الإسكان ولم أخرج بأي استنتاج واضح، وأريد أن أرى الدعم الحقيقي، ولا توجد كرة في مصر عندما لا يكون الزمالك واقفًا على قدميه”.

With Jean-Philippe Mateta yet to sign a new contract to extend his stay at Selhurst Park beyond 2027, his future as a Palace player is up in the air, and the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool have been named as potential suitors.

The South Londoners are determined to keep hold of the Frenchman, and there is still plenty of time to agree a new deal, but with his future still not secured, a new attacker has been identified as a target ahead of the January transfer window.

That is according to a report from TEAMtalk, which states Crystal Palace are now rivalling Arsenal for the signature of HNK Rijeka attacking midfielder Toni Fruk, alongside Benfica, Atletico Madrid and a number of other top European clubs.

Rijeka president, Damir Miskovic, has set an asking price of around £13m, with Fruk’s new agency, Niagara Sports, recently holding talks in London, although it is unclear whether Palace were involved in any negotiations.

The Eagles have scouted the 24-year-old on a number of occasions, such is their level of interest, and there is a belief he would be a perfect fit for Oliver Glasner’s style of play.

Agent Andy Bara recently described the Croatian as “the best player” in the HNL, and it is clear to see why, given that he has amassed ten goals and two assists in all competitions this season, outscoring Mateta.

At the end of November, the Rijeka star put in a particularly impressive performance against Hajduk Split in the HNL, scoring a hat-trick within just over half-an-hour, while also grabbing one assist, which earned him a SofaScore match rating of 10.

On that day, the five-time Croatia international featured at left-wing, but he is very versatile, having also featured in attacking midfield and at centre-forward regularly throughout his career to date.

Brendon McCullum still believes in Zak Crawley despite his pair in the first Test against Australia, and has called on England bat with more conviction following their two-day defeat in Perth. The visiting head coach even cited Travis Head’s match-winning 123 as an example to follow.Head made light work of what looked a more-than-competitive target of 205, driving Australia most of the way home to an eight-wicket win in just 28.2 overs.
