Many Wolves fans have been left raging as Tim Spiers posted their squad for their pre-season trip to Marbella in Spain.

While Spiers tweeted some names that supporters will surely get excited about, such as new signing Jose Sa and the return of Raul Jimenez, a lot of the squad is made up of youth players and highlights how thin it is going into the new 2021/22 season.

Of course, players such as Adama Traore and Conor Coady will return to the Midlands a little bit later given their exploits in Euro 2020, but nonetheless it does seem like a squad that is in desperate need of new additions.

With the new Premier League campaign a matter of a few weeks away now, it seems as if several members of the Molineux faithful are growing more impatient with the lack of incomings at this moment in time.

The Hammers were handed a significant boost during in January when Marko Arnautovic committed his future to the club amid interest from Chinese clubs. Despite the Austrian staying at the club, Manuel Pellegrini was surely desperate to add to his forward line.

Pellegrini must be keen to return to the transfer market for a new forward in the summer. Andy Carroll’s contract is set to expire in the summer with Lucas Perez also failing to convince since his move to the London Stadium. Javier Hernandez may also choose to depart after being linked away over the course of the January window, leaving the Hammers short of quality options at the top of the field.

One man Pellegrini could turn to is CSKA Moscow wonderkid – Fedor Chalov. Valued at £9m by Transfermarkt, the 20-year-old has made his breakthrough into the Moscow first-team and has firmly established himself as a crucial player. Chalov has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season and has been tipped to move to a big club in Europe in the near future.

The Russia U21 international has been in excellent form, netting 11 goals so far. Chalov possesses blistering pace which makes him a nightmare for defenders to deal with. An intelligent forward, the Russian loves to linger on the last defender and break at speed. His lethal finishing ability will give Pellegrini the quality option he has been crying out for.

Still improving and developing – Chalov could prove to be a mainstay at the London Stadium for years to come.

Brendan Rodgers has pencilled in next Sunday’s SPFL clash with Motherwell for Kieran Tierney’s return from injury.

The defender has been out injured since suffering a hip knock in the Europa League match against RB Leipzig but has been back in full contact training for over a week.

Tierney has been watching his team-mates from the stands alongside his pals but is now closing in on a return to competitive action.

After today’s 1-0 win over Kilmarnock, Chick Young asked Rodgers if Tierney would be back to face Valencia on Thursday but the Hoops boss told Radio Scotland…

“I think that Motherwell is the game that we are targeting Kieran for.”

Jonny Hayes put in an impressive shift today at Kilmarnock but the return of the first choice left-back will give Celtic a major boost at an important time.

Emilio Izaguirre has been the regular deputy but suffered an ankle injury in the first leg defeat from Valencia – as well as a very uncomfortable night against the Spanish side.

While his team-mates prepare to climb a mountain in the Mestalla on Thursday, Tierney will remain behind at Lennoxtown as he completes his recovery from injury.

Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Mesut Ozil made just his second start of 2019, against BATE Borisov in the Europa League Round of 32 tie at the Emirates.

The Gunners had a job to do as they looked to reverse a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, but found the task at hand an easy one as they romped to a 3-0 win in front of their home support.

In Ozil’s case, the former Germany international and 2014 World Cup winner managed to play 90 minutes for the first time since December, and appeared to make the north London-based side’s attacking play tick.

There has been something of a power battle between boss Unai Emery and the 6 foot midfielder for the most part of this season, but with results suffering without the former Real Madrid playmaker, the Gunners manager has a decision to make over the 30-year-old.

It appears to be a situation that is dividing the fanbase too, if you were to take a look at the Arsenal fans’ reactions to his performance on Twitter…

كشف أنتي تشاتشيتش المدير الفني لنادي بيراميدز، موقفه من الرحيل عن تدريب الفريق خلال الفترة المقبلة، بعد أنباء تلقيه عروض سعودية وإماراتية.

تشاتشيتش قاد بيراميدز منذ شهر ديسمبر من العام الماضي، ووصل رفقة الفريق إلي نصف نهائي الكونفدرالية، ويسعي لحسم وصافة الدوري المصري هذا الموسم.

وقال تشاتشيتش خلال تصريحات عبر قناة أون تايم سبورتس: “لا أحب الحديث في هذه الأمور، وتركيزي مع فريق بيراميدز في الوقت الحالي، وأحاول أحقق طموح الفريق”.

وتابع: “الهدف الرئيسي هو الفوز بالكونفدرالية، وصعب أن أعدك ولكن سنفعل كل شىء لتحقيق هذه البطولة”.

وأضاف: “لا استطيع أن أقيم تجربتي أو عملي في مصر، الناس المتابعين لكرة القدم والدوري هم من يقيموني، وسعيد بطريقة عمل الفريق والأداء في المباريات”.

وأتم: “نحاول أن نتحسن من لقاء لآخر، في مسابقة الدوري نحاول المكسب لكي نجمع النقاط، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار هناك كل 3 أيام مباراة، وأتمنى جاهزية الجميع عند اللعب في الكونفدرالية”.

ويحتل بيراميدز المركز الثالث في ترتيب الدوري المصري برصيد 54 نقطة

ومن المقرر أن يلتقي بيراميدز مع حوريا الغيني خلال شهر أكتوبر المقبل، في نصف نهائي الكونفدرالية، المقرر إقامته في المغرب.

علّق ميكيل آرتيتا المدير الفني لفريق آرسنال الإنجليزي، على مفاوضات ناديه مع حسام عوار، لاعب ليون الفرنسي.

ويرتبط الجانرز بالتعاقد مع عوار، لكن لم تحسم المفاوضات مع اقتراب غلق نافذة الانتقالات الجارية.

وتحدث آرتيتا عقب هزيمة فريقه أمام ليفربول في الجولة الثالثة للبريميرليج، بنتيجة (3-1).

ونشر موقع “فوتبول لندن” تصريحاته وبسؤاله: “ما أخبار صفقة عوار؟”، أجاب: “ليس لدينا أي أخبار عن ضم لاعبين جدد أو من قد يغادرون النادي”.

وأضاف: “لم يتبق سوى أسبوع على نافذة الانتقالات، وأعتقد أنه سيكون مزدحمًا حقًا للأندية الأخرى، لأنه لم يتم إنجاز الكثير من الصفقات، لنرِ ما سيحدث”.

من جانبه صرّح جان ميشيل أولاس رئيس ليون، بشأن عرض آرسنال لعوار: “كان عرضًا بسيطًا، ولم يجعلنا حتى نفكر في بيعه”.

وبسؤاله: “كم تريد؟ 40 مليون يورو أم 50 مليونا؟”، أجاب: “أكثر من الرقم الأول الذي ذكرته”.

The North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal ended all square at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. The result marks Spurs’ first draw of the Premier League campaign so far. Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring for the Gunners but a second half Harry Kane penalty rescued a point for the hosts.

However, the story of this match could have been very different had Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang been able to convert his last minute penalty. The spot kick was awarded when Davinson Sanchez was adjudged to have brought down the Arsenal striker.

Had Aubameyang converted it would have been centre-back Sanchez’s second catastrophic error of the game. The 22-year-old was also responsible for Ramsey’s goal as he badly mistimed a header and failed to clear his lines. 

The 17-cap Colombia international had a tough day all round. After the match plenty of Spurs fans took to Twitter to give their verdict on his display…

يبحث نادي برشلونة عن التعاقد مع مهاجم جديد خلال الميركاتو الصيفي الحالي، من أجل تدعيم صفوف الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بطلب من المدرب، رونالد كومان.

وتخلى برشلونة عن لويس سواريز قبل أسبوع، ووافق على فسخ تعاقده مع اللاعب الأوروجوياني الذي انتقل إلى أتلتيكو مدريد بسبب راتبه السنوي المرتفع.

ولكن هذا لا يتعارض مع نية برشلونة في ضم مهاجم جديد، حيث يضع مهاجم أولمبيك ليون ومنتخب هولندا، ممفيس ديباي، كهدف أول لمركز المهاجم بعد استبعاد، لاوتارو مارتينيز.

لكن المفاجأة هنا هي ما كشفت عنه شبكة “كواترو” الإسبانية، والتي أكدت على أن برشلونة يدرس التعاقد مع مهاجم إسبانيول ونادي ريال مدريد الأسبق، راؤول دي توماس.

ويريد برشلونة استغلال هبوط جاره الكتالوني إلى الدرجة الثانية الإسبانية من أجل التفاوض على ضم راؤول الذي يعد أحد أبناء ريال مدريد وخريج “كاستيا” في عام 2015.

وبحسب الشبكة الشهيرة أن برشلونة قد استفسر عن إمكانية التعاقد مع دي توماس، الذي يمتلك شرطًا جزائيًا في عقده مع إسبانيول قيمته 60 مليون يورو.

لكن ما قد يسهل مهمة برشلونة في ضم اللاعب بمبلغ أقل من المطلوب هو راتب راؤول الكبير مع إسبانيول في الوقت الحالي، وهو ما قد يجبرهم على الاستغناء عنه بسبب هبوطهم للدرجة الثانية.

وكان إسبانيول قد تعاقد مع دي توماس في يناير الماضي من بنفيكا مقابل 25 مليون يورو، في محاولة لإنقاذ الفريق من الهبوط إلى الدرجة الثانية، لكن في النهاية فشل.
