It seems poor form is rewarded nowadays with Tottenham Captain Hugo Lloris set to face another year in the Premier League unchallenged.

Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris added another shocker to an already long list of shameful mistakes on Sunday literally handing Liverpool the victory, opening the door for Arsenal to pass them in the table. However, despite a comedy of errors that would literally see any other player out of a squad, either temporarily or permanently, the Frenchman has somehow escaped with further guarantees over his future.

Indeed, according to the Daily Mail, Mauricio Pochettino has no intention of signing a new goalkeeper this summer, instead opting to strengthen other areas of the pitch.

Central midfield is a major point of concern and will be the focus of much of Tottenham’s resources, and those we can pretty confidently say are enjoying their final months with Spurs is defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama, who has been forced to the periphery of the squad in recent seasons, and donkey Moussa Sissoko. A new left-back, forward and creative midfielder are also said to be on the priority list.

Where this will come as welcome news to Spurs fans, who are preparing for a new prosperous life in their fresh stadium and haven’t enjoyed any transfer activity this season, it certainly isn’t everything they wanted to hear.

At the very least Tottenham should be signing a quality keeper to compete with their complacent, error-prone captain Hugo Lloris, who earns £100k-a-week, according to Spotrac.

Speaking on Match of the Day 2 (quote via Daily Mail) former Spurs man Jermaine Jenas said: ‘If Spurs want to kick on and have any aspirations of challenging for the league or winning major trophies, then it is a position they need to start looking at.

‘He [Lloris] should be at the peak of his powers right now but he actually looks more nervous now than he did when he arrived from Lyon seven years ago.’

He’s not wrong. Too long has the urgency been glossed over by the occasional outstanding performance from the France international, something needs to change. Daniel Levy simply has to bite the bullet and ditch the Frenchman.

Unsurprisingly, Alfredo Morelos swept up top goalscorer, player of the year and players’ player of the year, while Ryan Kent won young player of the campaign and Ryan Jack claimed goal of the season with his effort in the Old Firm.

Meanwhile, fan favourite Allan McGregor was handed the John Greig Achievement Award, an extremely prestigious achievement.

As a player and manager, Greig racked up five league titles, eight Scottish Cups and seven Scottish League Cups at Ibrox.

The club spoke to McGregor after he collected the award, and he appeared to be stumbling over his words as he expressed his delight.

Fans are heaping praise both on his clear passion for the club and the award, as well as the fact that he seems to have had a little bit too much fun at the ceremony.

Sunderland sit third in the League One table, level on points with second-placed Barnsley, with two games in hand, and looking certain to achieve automatic promotion at the first attempt.

But level-headed manager, Jack Ross, is not getting carried away, and does not want his players to lose focus either.

The young manager described tonight’s game against Burton as the “most important” of the season, knowing that failure to win games will render those matches in hand meaningless, and knows that already having the points bagged, means their rivals are always in a strong position.

He told the club’s official website: “When we looked at the other teams with points on the board, for me they are in a better position.

“Irrespective of the number of games you have to earn points and those teams had done that.

“What we have done now is get ourselves in a good position and we have this advantage now in terms of having games to play.

“But it is only an advantage if we go and win. Tuesday evening is big for us. It becomes our most important game of the season.

“It sounds cliched, but it is the truth. Wednesday was our biggest game of the season, then it was Saturday, then it was Tuesday.

“That has got to be our mindset until we get to the stage where we have achieved what we want and we have games to spare.”

He knows that playing catch-up adds its own pressure to games, but his approach this season has been first class, and even when they were drawing games they know they should have won, the manager never panicked.

He has instilled belief and confidence into the players, and it is clear that every member of the squad will give everything they have for their manager, and the red and white jersey.

It is why he added: “I think they are excited about these final four weeks of the season. I don’t sense any nervousness; it is more an anticipation of the games and relishing the challenge that they have.”

Ross has been a breath of fresh air at the Stadium Of Light, after a number of questionable managerial appointments in the past.

It remains to be seen if he can perform a similar job at Sunderland in a higher division, but it is surely only a matter of weeks until fans get the opportunity to find out.

Lille president Gerard Lopez has revealed that Nicolas Pepe looks likely to leave the French club in this summer’s transfer window.

The 23-year-old is enjoying a fine season, managing 20 goals and 14 assists in 35 appearances for his Ligue 1 side in all competitions. There will likely be widespread interest in the attacker this summer.

The Liverpool fans have been on social media commenting on the Ivory Coast international.

And a number have called on the club to bring 6 ft Pepe to Anfield ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.

The Reds would surely face competition from a number of clubs if they decided to make a bid, especially when considering that Pepe has had an outrageously good season for Lille.

The other key question is where Pepe would fit in at Anfield, facing competition for a role in the front three from Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

وعن العمل مع كومان كمدرب، قال: “اعتقد أن علاقتي به جيدة، أحاول تنفيذ كل ما يريده مني خلال المباريات، عندما يتحدث إلى فلا بد أن أستمع لأنه يتمتع بخبرة كبيرة في كرة القدم من أجل التطور كلاعب وكشخص في نادٍ كبير مثل برشلونة”.

Huddersfield fans are split as to whether or not Frazier Campbell would be a good signing as the club prepares for life in the Championship next season.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, the Terriers have made Campbell one of their summer targets.

The former Manchester United striker has been plying his trade for Hull City this term and has netted a respectable 12 goals in 36 appearances for the Tigers as well as providing six assists.

Despite Campbell’s solid return in the second tier, Huddersfield fans have been split as to whether or not he would be worth bringing in to the John Smith’s Stadium.

The striker is enjoying a good campaign but Terrier’s fans may have doubts over his abilities due to his poor goalscoring record in seasons gone by.

Campbell is originally from Huddersfield so he may be tempted to move to his local team and aid them in their quest to return to the Premier League.

وتابع: “لم أر واقعة مشادة محمد فضل وكهربا ولكني سأتحدث مع الأول كونه عضو مجلس إدارة اتحاد الكرة وأنظر للأمر”.
