While Everton have bolstered the attacking channels considerably over the past few months, Demarai Gray and Alex Iwobi could both find themselves headed for the exit at Goodison Park this week, with both aces admired by suitors.

Indeed, Jack Harrison, Arnaut Danjuma, Youssef Chermiti and Beto have the potential to restore the fluidity of a frontline that has yet to break the net in the English top-flight this year, with the Toffees finishing the 2022/23 season 17th as the division's second-lowest scorers.

Cornet would offer something new, and while the £65k-per-week ace has struggled to make a mark in east London after completing a £17.5m transfer from Burnley last summer, injuries have been the inhibiter and his past exploits with relegation-battling Burnley prove his worth on English soil.

A series of calf injuries proved detrimental for David Moyes' fleet-footed winger, who only managed five substitute showings in the Premier League before March last season, severing any hopes of an auspicious season on an individual level.

But with Dyche orchestrating his match action once again, Cornet could craft a resurgence to align with Everton's, and considering that he has already proved his worth among a relegation-threatened, Dyche-led outfit, he might be an astute signing ahead of deadline day.

In an ideal world, Jurgen Klopp would have completed his midfield rebuild at Liverpool by the time that the third weekend of the Premier League season rolls around. We are not in that world, however, with the German still seeking another reinforcement after a turbulent summer of business.

After finally welcoming a defensive midfielder in the form of Wataru Endo, Liverpool reportedly shifted their focus towards Crystal Palace's Doucoure, who the Eagles value at a reported £70m.

Upon discovering the midfielder's price-tag, however, the Reds have deemed Doucoure too expensive, and have therefore, quickly turned their attention elswhere once more.

With just under a week to go until the summer transfer window slams shut, though, Liverpool must move fast if they are to complete their rebuild in the middle of the park. Those at Anfield have, at the very least, now found an instant alternative for Doucoure.

According to Pete O'Rourke of Football Insider, Liverpool could turn their focus back to Bayern Munich's £30m-rated midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, with the Bavarians now reportedly more willing to sell the Dutchman this summer.

The Merseyside club may have to act fast if they are to secure the former Ajax man's signature, however, with Manchester United also long-term admirers of Gravenberch. Erik ten Hag, of course, worked with the player when at Ajax.

Liverpool's need for another midfielder is no secret, and welcoming a 21-year-old Bayern Munich man, who could cost as little as £30m would represent a solid piece of business for the Reds.

Whilst things haven't worked out at the Bundesliga champions – making just three starts in the league last season – Gravenberch has shown enough potential to push on elsewhere and succeed.

At his best, the Dutchman has earned plenty of praise, including from former Ajax youth coach Brian Tevreden, who told Goal: “Physically, I see Frank in him from back in the day because he’s tall and very strong. But technically, I would say he’s a better version of Pogba in his best days at Juventus, in terms of his technique and his presence on the pitch.

“He’s very dominant like Pogba was, and that’s what I see in Ryan.”

Meanwhile, former Ajax forward Wim Kieft once had nothing but praise to say, writing in De Telegraaf, via Liverpool Echo: "He is the greatest talent in the Netherlands.

Chelsea have “made contact” to enquire about a deal that would bring Leeds United defensive midfielder Tyler Adams back to the Premier League, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The United States international still has another four years remaining on his contract with Daniel Farke’s side having only joined last summer from RB Leipzig, but having established himself as their overall top-performing player with a WhoScored match rating of 6.73 during his debut season in the top-flight, he’s grabbed the attention of Mauricio Pochettino and Todd Boehly.

Matt O'Riley (2.1) was the only Hoops midfielder to create more chances per game than Kangwa did for Red Star, while the Zambian also boasted a better pass completion rate (89%) than O'Riley, Reo Hatate, Mooy, and David Turnbull.

These statistics suggest that the talented technician, who was hailed as a "great ball carrier" by player analyst Chris Kearney, has the potential to be an excellent addition to the squad next season.

He has the creativity to open up opposition defences while remaining consistent and reliable with his passing. Consider that no Celtic midfielder managed more than six league goals last term, and it suggest that Kangwa could carry a greater goal threat than Rodgers' current options in the middle of the park.

Therefore, the dynamic gem could be the perfect replacement for Mooy. He is eight years younger than the Australian, which would also make him a long-term investment rather than a short-term solution in the middle of the park.
