وتلتقي إسبانيا وألمانيا يوم غد الأحد، في تمام الساعة التاسعة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة” على ملعب “البيت” في مدينة “الخور” بقيادة الحكم الهولندي الدولي، داني ماكيلي.

وتحدث مارتينيز عن إسبانيا قبل المباراة في حواره مع شبكة “Sport Buzzer” الإسبانية، وقال: “لقد فوجئت بتلك النتيجة الكبيرة أمام كوستاريكا، كنت أتوقع الفوز، لكن ليس 7-0”.

وتابع: “الجميع يرشح إسبانيا للفوز بالبطولة، لأننا لعبنا أمام كوستاريكا بهذا الشكل (مازحًا)، لكن يجب على إسبانيا الحفاظ على الهدوء، لدينا مباراة قوية أمام ألمانيا ومدرب جيد مثل هانزي فليك الذي سيعرف تصحيح أخطاء مباراة اليابان”.

وماذا عن المجموعة الثالثة والتي تضم الأرجنتين والمكسيك؟ لقد لعبت ضد المكسيك في كوبا أمريكا 2004، خسرت 1-0، هل ستكون المباراة صعبة، كذلك أنت تعرف الكرة المكسيكية جيدًا مع مونتيري؟

“المكسيك دائمًا ما تكون منافسًا صعبًا للغاية أمام الأرجنتين، فريق رائع لقد خسرنا منهم في كوبا أمريكا 2004 بالفعل، لذلك على اللاعبين الحذر منهم في تلك المجموعة وخاصة المباراة المباشرة بين الفريقين”.

Wolves could still sign a replacement for outgoing winger Adama Traore in the next two days, according to journalist Ryan Taylor.

The Lowdown: Traore off to Barcelona

The Spaniard is on the verge of completing a return to Barcelona, having initially spent time in the club’s academy before making four first-team appearances.

Traore will join the Catalan giants on loan initially but the deal could become permanent at the end of the season (Sky Sports).

With the winger leaving Molineux and no replacement lined up yet, it could be argued that Wolves are looking light in attacking areas between now and the end of the season.

Speaking to Give Me Sport, however, Taylor claimed a new face could still arrive before deadline day ends on Monday:

“If Traore completes his move, he’ll (Bruno Lage) probably push for another signing within the final days of the window.”

The Verdict: Is it needed?

In an ideal world, a ready-made replacement for Traore would arrive in the coming days, ensuring Lage isn’t left with a lack of attacking depth.

That being said, Traore wasn’t a key starter for Wanderers – he has started 10 out of 21 Premier League matches this season – and the returning Pedro Neto could feel like a new signing after a long injury absence.

Should Traore leave permanently in the summer, they should receive big money for him, at which point it is vital that Wolves use the funds effectively on new signings. Perhaps that would be better than rushing into a January deal.

Even though he hasn’t managed to score a goal or provide an assist in the Premier League for the Saints so far this season, Tella has still proven himself to be a useful attacking option for Hasenhuttl with ten league appearances under his belt, showing how much the Southampton boss trusts him to do a job for the team.

With the game against Coventry in mind, it would not be a surprise if Tella is among those selected to start the game, especially when you consider the sort of attacking form that he has shown in previous FA Cup and Carabao Cup games this season, having provided two assists and one goal in four appearances across both competitions.

However, if the 22-year-old isn’t able to provide any goals or assists in the Premier League, then questions will surely be raised about his capabilities of playing in the top division on a regular basis at the level Hasenhuttl would want, especially with WhoScored currently listing him as one of the lowest-rated Southampton players in terms of overall performances in the league this season.

That said, the youngster is clearly a player with immense promise and seeing him return to full fitness is beneficial for every single party.

Leeds have made an increased bid of £20million for RB Salzburg and USA midfielder Brenden Aaronson, according to Sky Sports News.

The Lowdown: Leeds eye up on Aaronson move

Marcelo Bielsa is no doubt keen to sign a new midfielder this month, with injuries to the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Adam Forshaw leaving his squad horribly short.

The Verdict: Snap him up

Aaronson has already grown into an important player for Salzburg this season, starting 14 Austrian Bundesliga matches and averaging two tackles per game.

At just 21 years of age he isn’t simply a quick fix, representing a long-term addition and someone who the rest of the team can be built around over time.

The fact that Aaronson has also averaged 1.8 dribbles per game shows he is effective on and off the ball – he has been described as a ‘killer’ by coach Jim Curtin, too – so his acquisition feels like a no-brainer for a team desperately in need of another all-action midfielder.
